2025 Wesley Intentional Living Center Application

Our Values: Forming Community | Exploring Faith | Seeking Justice

We are so excited that you are interested in living at the Wesley Intentional Living Community (WILC). Please review the information below and complete the application to be considered for residency.

The WILC is a faith-guided, intentional living community for students and young adults of all ages, located on the campus of Western Michigan University. Residents commit to building community through weekly gatherings, shared meals, and retreats in both early fall and the beginning of the calendar year. These gatherings and retreats help shape the shared experience of living together.

As part of the WILC, residents establish a covenantal agreement with one another grounded in our core values as follows:

Forming Community
We believe that every person is of sacred worth, and we affirm one another’s whole selves as good and holy. The WILC is a space where all are welcome, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, or orientation. However, not all behaviors are welcome—discriminatory behaviors, illegal activities, and weapons are strictly prohibited.

We ask that residents bring their full, authentic selves to this community, practicing brave vulnerability while fostering an environment where others can do the same. Participation in gatherings, retreats, and scheduled WILC activities is a key part of building this shared experience.

Exploring Faith
We honor and respect each person’s spiritual journey, recognizing the value of learning from one another. At the WILC, faith is defined as that which connects us to what is holy and sacred, guiding us into right relationship with ourselves, each other, and all of creation. While Christian faith formation is our primary framework, residents are not required to be practicing Christians to participate in this community.

Seeking Justice
We acknowledge that many systems and institutions in our society have historically benefited some while marginalizing others. At the WILC, we commit to learning, growing, and taking action to address systemic injustices—both in our own lives and in the wider community.

We now offer two accommodation options:
Single Room – A private room with a shared bathroom, available for $650 / month.
Double Room – Two rooms with a private bathroom, available for $1,200 / month.
Please select your preferred room option.
